No entitlement to truth comes from higher (or lower) status in the world – both “great cities”, the one where strength and wealth becomes a criteria for trust/success/piety and the other where destitution/asceticism is the criteria for piety/truth) are not distinctive in the real purpose (which would unite those who have that purpose into ‘one community’ that different and unequal material conditions have been created to help human beings gather the mercy of their Sustainer.
The one who serves others for compensation, should not gather just the compensation for their service – this woud not make it good to be in the position to serve and would not make you the same as (single ‘community’ with) the one being served
The one who is in a position to receive services from others should not just gather those services – this would not make it good for him to be in the position of being served. Such a person would find themselves set apart, because of their material status, from those who serve him.
What is, in the Quran’s claim ‘better’ to gather for both the serving and the served? The mercy of their lord. The exchange exists (the conditions of exchange, which involve differentiation and un-equality of some kind, exist) so that God’s mercy becomes manfist equally for the one serving (e.g. the one fixing the plumbing) and the one served (the one paying for their plumbing to get fixed). Insofar as both gather ther mercy of their Lord in the exchange, they are one ‘community’. This is what community/ummah means (if i listen to these verses). a community is not a community of identity but a community of being aware of (and rejoicing with praise and gratitude for) the mercy of one’s lord who one sees as the one who distributed his mercy in this world so that out of mercy he made differentiations and the impetus for exchange/service and in this service, he made his mercy manifest for human beings to witness so that they would look forward to experiencing his mercy eternally beyong the passing, lower realm. The ‘means’ of the lower realm are ‘better’ or ‘good’ for humans when they becomes signs for the mercy of their lord for a merciful lord can be reasonably thought to not deprive one of the mercies he has made me experience in the present realm
